This painting is part of my North Wales series, inspired by the dramatic mountain landscapes of the region. I was drawn to the unique atmosphere of the evening, when the fading light softens the colours and the mountains are enveloped in silence and a sense of endless space. Working in a contemporary Impressionist style with semi-abstract elements, I sought to capture not the precise details of the landscape, but its spirit—its tranquillity, the quiet power of nature, and a feeling of inner harmony.
