ABOUT THE ART WORK
Before us is a painting depicting one of the most picturesque corners of the Ligurian coast—the town of Riomaggiore, nestled on the slopes of a rocky shore. The painting is filled with sunlight, sea air, and the unique atmosphere of a southern coastal town. In the foreground, the artist depicted small boats pulled up onto the shore or bobbing on the calm waves of the harbor. Their hulls are painted in vibrant hues—blue, red, white—and reflected in the clear water, creating a play of highlights and reflections. Behind them, multicolored houses rise up, crowded close together. Their façades—ochre, terracotta, pink, and lemon—seem faded by the sun, yet retain the unique charm of an old Mediterranean town.
