Where is this young dancer from? Is she Caucasian, or Siberian? I don’t know. Once, when I was looking at the Degas’ masterly paintings about the Russian Dancers, I saw a sketch in pastel. Starting from it, I’d studied many folk costumes of Eurasian area, then I created this work my way entirely.
