Ethereal Waters | Golden water lily impressionist painting

Ethereal Waters was born from my fascination with light — the way it shifts, glows, and transforms a landscape into something almost otherworldly. In this piece, I explore a field of floating lily pads resting beneath a luminous golden sky.

I intentionally layered deep violets, teals, and soft aqua tones to create a sense of depth and quiet movement across the water’s surface. The scattered pink blossoms act as gentle points of life and stillness.

I used metallic gold so the surface responds to light throughout the day. As natural light changes, the gold subtly shimmers and radiates warmth, giving the artwork a living, breathing quality. In the morning it glows softly; in the evening it becomes richer and more dramatic. This contemporary water lily painting is about serenity, reflection, and illumination. I wanted to create a space where calm water meets radiant energy — a balance between grounding depth and uplifting light.

This painting will be delivered rolled in a tube.
