Koen Lybaert's Ethereal Bloom 009 is a striking ceramic sculpture that captures the delicate tension between earthiness and ethereal lightness. Thrown from rich red clay, the 47 cm high vessel rises with a natural, organic energy, enhanced by intricate hand-built, leaf-like forms that cascade along its surface. The transparent glaze gives the piece a subtle sheen, allowing the warmth of the red clay to glow from within, while white and blue glaze details accentuate the folds and edges of the "leaves," suggesting traces of dew or light.
