Original artwork description:

“Eternal Identity” is a powerful exploration of culture, truth, and self-expression—an homage to the soul of African heritage, reimagined through the lens of modern abstraction and pop art.

Inspired by traditional African masks, this original acrylic painting is both a tribute and a transformation. It blends geometric cubist forms with rich, harmonious tones of caramel, coffee, mahogany, burnt umber, sienna, wine, taupe, maple, pale sand, iridescent copper, and gold—creating a warm, layered composition that evokes the complexity of identity.

Painted on high-quality canvas and designed to be impactful in any space, the artwork invites deep reflection on the masks we all wear in life—social, emotional, and psychological. In a world filled with pretense and projection, this piece asks:

Who are we when the mask comes off?
What truth lies beneath the persona we show the world?

ARTIST’S STATEMENT/ INSPIRATION:

“Eternal Identity” – The enduring essence of African culture.
Influenced by the sacred symbolism of traditional African masks, this work speaks to the spiritual and societal layers of selfhood.

Too many people live their lives pretending, hiding behind masks—and losing themselves in the process.
A beautiful face can hide great evil.
A mask may win applause… but only authenticity wins peace.

The only proper mask to wear in life is your own face.
