- Erosion of the Spirit
Original artwork description
With Erosion of the Spirit, I wanted to create a dialogue between the raw power of nature and quiet inner transformation. This painting is, to me, a geography of the soul.
I used rich small stones and earth pigments to build a diagonal structure that acts like a fissure—or perhaps a riverbed—running through time and matter. This relief band is a metaphor for the process: the erosion of what limits us, and the journey toward our core. The contrast between the rough, gold-brown surface, enriched with small stones, and the calm, textured white represents the constant balance between turmoil and tranquility for me.
In my work, texture is always key. I want the viewer not only to see but also to feel the weight and depth of the material. This piece is designed to be a powerful visual and tactile focal point, adding an earthy energy and sophisticated presence to any space.
The painting features black edges, is ready to hang, and includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
Featured on a Times Square billboard (NYC) via Gallery curation (23.1.2026).
