I created this abstract portrait to explore vulnerability and intensity through the subject’s wide, searching eyes. Using textured acrylic layers, I blended warm earth tones with soft blues to give the face an almost translucent quality. I wanted the brushstrokes to remain visible, showing the raw process of building the figure while leaving space for mystery. The figure holds both fragility and strength. It’s a piece I see as both deeply personal and universally human.

Colors: Azure blue, blue-green, sage green, grays, golden yellow, russet, black, white
