Original artwork description
I made this work on a board, the background colour I obtained by mixing powdered pigments in random amounts until I got what I wanted for unique and unrepeatable colours. I traced the outline of the painting with chalk and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colours by overlaying many thin layers of appropriately thinned colour to create the effects I want.
I have depicted old rusty drums precariously balanced, a drop is falling from the top one: will it make them all fall?
I leave it to the viewer to imagine the ending.
In this series I liked to paint things that defy gravity, I liked the thrill caused by things that are about to fall!
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
