Original artwork description
My starting point for this painting was a feminine silhouette posing beneath a parasol. I worked with a sunny and sophisticated palette featuring vibrant yellows, dusty pinks and burnt oranges, alla standing out against two contrasting skies: one by day and one by night. On the night side, the round moon illuminates a mastic-colored sea where the crest of the waves appears on the horizon. The atmosphere is dreamlike and almost cinematic and the large parasol creates a division between these two words. I worked on the dress with some patterns like sea shelfs. Altogether, the warm colors give a feeling of calm, escape and mystery.
