Entre deux mondes (2025) Original Mixed-media Painting by Yulia KESTENER

Inspired by the duality of the "Wonderland" from the other side of the looking-glass, this piece explores the idea that we do not live in a single world, but in two parallel realities that are constantly intertwined.

The World of Matter: Represented by rich textures, craggy reliefs, and earthy tones. It is our anchor, the tangible reality beneath our feet.

The World of Spirit: Illustrated by those abyssal blues and flashes of gold and silver that seem to spring from the central rift. It is the world of dreams, intuition, and pure magic.

While working on this canvas, I wanted to capture this luminous rift at the center. It represents that narrow passage — the mirror — which allows us to shift from one to the other. Both worlds are real. They are always there, vibrating against each other.
