Emerald Air Beyond the Shore (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Tatiana Malinovscaia

I created this painting as a reflection of shifting atmosphere and elemental contrast — a meeting of cool open sky, deep emerald water, and warm earthy light suspended within a vast emotional landscape.

Working with acrylic on canvas, I built the composition through multiple textured layers using palette knife and expressive brushwork. Shades of emerald green, sage, pale blue, ivory, white, charcoal, black, earthy brown, soft gray, and warm ochre create movement, depth, and luminous contrast while preserving a calm contemporary atmosphere.

The composition unfolds through expansive reflective space where light appears to spread across layered textures and atmospheric surfaces. Deep dark passages anchor the painting visually, while pale blue and ivory create openness and airiness. Warm ochre accents introduce subtle warmth and flashes of light across the composition.

Layered textures, scraped passages, expressive marks, and painterly transitions preserve the spontaneity of the process while creating material richness throughout the surface. I wanted this work to feel immersive and expansive — like standing before endless reflective water under changing light and weather.

The textured surface responds beautifully to natural and artificial light, revealing nuanced tones of emerald green, sage, pale blue, ivory, charcoal, earthy brown, and warm ochre throughout the day.
