Embouchere is a musical term about the way in which a player applies their mouth to the mouthpiece of a brass or wind instrument but it is also an ancient term used to describe the mouth of a river or valley. I made this piece when a musician friend visited my studio and we talked about how playing music and making art both required a 'letting go'. This piece is my rendition of flow!
