Ellie’s Adventures
In the bush, a baby elephant woke with a yawn,
Trunk flopping like spaghetti at dawn.
He thought, “Life’s just mud baths and mama’s big hugs!”
Then—SPLASH!—a croc snapped, mistaking him for bugs.
“Oh wow!” he trumpeted, eyes wide as the sky,
“The bush isn’t boring—it’s do-or-you-die!”
He splashed through the river, dodged lions with glee,
Rolled in red dust till he looked like a tree.
His heart sang in trumpets, his tail twirled with joy,
“Adventure’s my breakfast, danger’s my toy!”
Little trunk high, he marched on with a grin—
Life in the wild? Best game ever—let’s begin!
Who have said 'If I would come an animal it would be..' Now I would be an elephant. I love their herd instincts, caring and teaching for their young, respect for the matriarch and their memory.
My granddaughter has a jellycat since a baby, being ten her elephant is now really floppy and well handled, but still she would go nowhere without her elephant and to go to bed without it, is just unthinkable. Now here you have while I just had to paint a big elephant.
Thanks for watching.
