Original artwork description:

I love painting on the streets of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. This painting was inspired by the view of the beautiful El Paseo building with a courtyard. I find the best description of it in "Tales From Carmel-by-the-Sea" blog:
"El Paseo is the passageway where new California meets old Spain.
Many visitors walk by this courtyard on Dolores Street between Ocean Avenue and 7th on their way to check out the menu at Little Napoli or have a glass of wine at Vino Napoli next door. The entrance to the courtyard lies between these two restaurants."

Materials:
Oil on oil-primed Claessens Belgian linen, mounted on the archival museum quality Gatorfoam panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish.
