Original artwork description:
This shop sits not far from the Scottish parliament in the Cowgate. I was attracted to its sense of solid tattiness, the nostalgic lettering. I painted it using a slightly restricted palette, to enhance the light and shadow and the contrasts of the signage. The work is on a 9" x 12" canvas and is deep enough to hang without the need for further framing.
