Original artwork description
A sense of shoreline. The burst of sunlight reflecting on shorebreak and sand flats. A feeling of winsdwept rocky outcrops with roving oystercatchers. All things that Paul strives to capture in his large seascapes inspired by many visits and stays on the Islands around UK shores including Guernsey, Cornwall and the Hebrides.
Ebb and Flow began life with an application of neutral texture pastes on box canvas, then intuitively worked over in impasto paintwork and blends of subtle tones. Tray framed in a smart frame in black or white and ready to hang.
