I created this painting as an exploration of form and transformation in nature. The elongated shapes of the mushrooms allowed me to play with rhythm, balance, and a sense of quiet upward movement. Through layered, shifting colors, I was interested in dissolving the boundary between the figures and their surroundings, so that everything feels interconnected and slightly fluid, like a living atmosphere rather than a fixed scene.
