Artwork description:

This image is from the souks of Marrakech in Morocco. Walking through the frantic souks with it's assault on the senses with all the colours noise and smells it was difficult to choose what to focus on. I found these textiles hanging to dry in a nook and found it such a tranquil sight in all the bustle around. I quickly took a capture and the next second all the tranquillity was broken as a guy came up to me wanting to drag me into his shop. He got very angry and started to push me around when I refused - it's part of the charm of this frantic place - bring a thick skin if you go. I had the pleasure of visiting Morocco in 2010. It was only for eight days but I am hoping to stop by again soon. The hustle and bustle of the streets - and tranquillity of the roof terraces - and the wonderful flavoursome foods, all the colours - it makes for a very sensory experience that is highly recommended.

Also available in other sizes:
42x59cm - edition of 50
