A cute little oil painting of a typical Dutch landscape. On a cloudless crispy clear spring day in Holland the sky and waters are a true blue and the grass of the farmlands a very juicy green.. The light is so very clear, it can hurt your eyes. The visibility is bright and the view is spacious.
Just one day of sketching offered me enough inspiration for a series of paintings. At this specific spot (near the village of Vinkeveen) I created some drawings of ditches and wooden fences. At the studio, preparing my panels I chose some smaller ones to recreate what I had seen. This is one of a series of ten landscapes I created after that day.

The painting is varnished and framed in a wooden, ‘white washed’ frame. The panel is glued to a framework of the same size to make it float in the frame. It is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Oilpaint, palet knifes and brushes
