“Graphics 27” is part of my Duality series, created on a grid based on the geometric progression of the number 2 — a structure that highlights the interplay of complementary inner forces.
This work explores the psychological duality between Openness and Conservatism. Openness reflects a willingness to embrace the new, expand horizons, and step into uncertainty. Conservatism values stability, familiarity, and continuity — qualities that protect, anchor, and preserve.
These two approaches to life are often seen as opposites, yet both are equally valid and deeply human.
In the composition, this duality is shown through contrasting poses: one figure open, extended, receptive; the other cocoon-like, inward-folded, protective. Together, they form a balanced dialogue — a reminder that personal growth includes both expansion and shelter.
The geometric framework reinforces this equilibrium, creating a calm, contemplative visual rhythm.
