Dry Heart — silverpoint drawing on cotton paper HP Arches, acrylic ground, h28 x w38 cm, 2024, Ukraine
Each leaf has taken on a unique shape, and when placed together, they form a heart, a beautiful symbol of love.
Silverpoint drawing reminds me of the old masters like Leonardo Da Vinci, who utilized silver on a prepared surface for his artwork. When you look at the work from an angle, it shines like a noble metal. Over time, the silver drawing will oxidize and change color, as if growing up along with its owner.
IMPORTANT! Silver naturally oxidizes in the presence of heat and humidity. At first, the color may fade, then it will take on a brown hue, and ultimately, it will darken.
