Dried Gum Nuts Stem
The embodiment of Australian nature, Gum Nuts adorn neighbourhood streets and produce blossoms in an assortment of colours providing food for local wildlife. Still beautiful after their foliage has dried in the harsh Summer sun and it's seed pods have withered, the textural contrasts are what I loved most about this image. Photographed in my small studio in natural light against a black background to keep the focus on these beautifully structural ageing botanicals.
