INSPIRATION
"Dreaming Serpent" is an evocative painting, combining acrylics and oil paints. Inspired by an aerial photograph of a serpent drawn into the landscape at the foot of a hill in the remote Queensland Outback, I incorporated the face of an Aboriginal elder, creating a fusion of ancient symbolism and human connection. The striking earthy tones reflect the natural beauty and spiritual essence of the land, invoking Australia's deep cultural roots and the Dreamtime stories of its First Nations people. The work captures the relationship between land, mythology, and identity.
