Original artwork description
A reflective summer painting which I have worked on for quite some time building the painting carefully layer by layer with acrylics and wax pastels. Strong purples, magenta and green combine with ivory white to a colourful, abstract painting inspired by a joyful mood and the experience of the world in technicolor on a warm sunny afternoon in the garden. In this gestural painting I experimented with negative shapes and mark making.
The edges of the box canvas are painted in a complementary colour.
The painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
The canvas has been varnished to protect the painting from environmental damage.
