Original artwork description:

The French playing card sets that dominate the foreground of the work invade the masked face and partially conceal the other face. The cards will have to be shuffled between a face concealed by a mask and a face in which only one eye is visible, due to a fan of playing cards. The perspective of the Palazzo Vecchio towers with its grandeur, perhaps sealing the scanning of a time dormant among the illogical riddles of unknown rules. In making this painting I drew inspiration from dreams and their ethereal interconnection with reality. Using oil on canvas, I infused each brushstroke with a figurative, symbolic and surreal aesthetic. This metaphysical work aims to explore the frontiers between the conscious and the unconscious, inviting the viewer to reflect on their own experiences and the ephemeral nature of time. By bringing this painting into one's home, one welcomes an energy that stimulates the mind toward dreamy horizons and deep introspections.
