Original artwork description
Falling asleep is a risky undertaking. It is a moment when we voluntarily surrender the helm to a logic we do not understand—one that can be more ruthless than the grind of a 9-to-5 job. The piece *Dream* is an attempt to document this nocturnal expedition.
The central figure—trapped, or perhaps protected, by a dense web of thousands of strokes—seems to exist in a state of suspension. This is no light, dreamy vision; it is the surreal architecture of the subconscious, where the boundary between the living and the constructed blurs amidst a thicket of details. Each stroke of ink represents another second spent trying to tame the chaos that haunts us the moment we close our eyes.
A different gravity and a different sense of time prevail in this world. It is a space for those unafraid to look beneath the surface of reality and see what becomes of our thoughts when no one is watching over them. As always with my work, the result is strange, dense, and uncompromising.
