- Down at the beach
Artwork description
Below the cliffs in outside Eastbourne there is a place called Cow Gap. Unlike the well behaved beach sections of its near neighbour, Cow Gap is a wild place with seaweed clad boulders and multi-coloured pebbles. Fossil hunters like to visit the ever-crumbling chalk deposits to find their treasure. If you skirt along the base of the cliffs, you'll see the famous Beachy Head lighthouse in the distance often with seals lolling on a sandbank. It was a delight to discover this off the beaten track place. Access is down a staircase onto the beach. So I guess that's why it is called, 'Down at the beach'.
Materials used:
oil based ink and archival paper
Details:
- Linocut on Paper
- From a limited edition of 50
- Size: 28 x 38cm / 20 x 30cm (actual image size)
- Signed and numbered on the front
- Style: Impressionistic
- Subject: Landscapes, sea and sky
