Acrylic painting on 40x50 cm stretched canvas. Painted in a dark art style with high contrast and a limited colour palette.
In psychoanalysis, shadows are negative aspects of personality that we don't identify with and tend to deny having. They end up buried in the subconscious.
Note the intentional disproportion between the shadows and relatively small buildings. This is to emphasize the catastrophic consequences of not dealing with one's shadows. They'll grow and eventually rule over our psyche, consequently influencing our behaviour, attitudes and beliefs. Acknowledge your shadow, face it and fight it. If possible, turn it into something positive.
