Original artwork description
This original oil painting combines several components: the reflection of the sky, the splash from the bow wave of the boat and of course the dolphins. From an early age I have spent a lot of time in and around boats and have many memories of dolphins swimming alongside boats that I have been in. In addition to their playful antics they seem able to swim at exactly the same speed as the boat sometimes at very close quarters. Always entertaining!
Where I live in Devon dolphins do seem to be making more appearances now than they were decades ago and so are whales - so the next painting could be ....
