Abstract inspiration comes from many places but for me the human figure remains the ultimate challenge and curiosity for my paintings. This painting was abstracted from a charcoal drawing of a young black man with dreadlocks. The bright pinks and blues are an attempt to disguise its starting point; what do you see ?
