The series “Do Not Look” is a philosophical exploration of human identity, inner fragility, and the multiplicity of the self. The paintings exist in a space between presence and disappearance, between form and reflection.
The figures appear as fragments of an inner psychological landscape. Faces and bodies seem displaced from conventional perception — sometimes inverted or doubled, like reflections in a mirror that have lost their stable point of reference. The gaze is not directed outward; the figures do not confront the viewer. Instead, they exist in a quiet state of introspection and inner contemplation.
The series explores themes of femininity, transformation, and the fragmentation of identity — the experience of existing simultaneously within several emotional or psychological dimensions. Emptiness and fullness, light and shadow, presence and absence intertwine, creating a subtle tension within the pictorial space.
The color palette — deep blues, warm ochres, and golden tones — enhances the sense of energy and internal movement. Layered textures, flowing paint, and dynamic gestures create a feeling of time in motion and emotional fluidity.
Paintings from this series have been exhibited multiple times in European exhibitions and have received high recognition from art critics for their expressive visual language and philosophical depth.
Until March 14, 2026, the works from this series are presented in an exhibition in Rome.
