The Rezevici Monastery, named after the village where I live, is an unusually atmospheric place. Rough stone walls are buried in the greenery of an olive grove, sheep graze peacefully on the monastery grounds and cozy patio is full of fruit trees and flowers. In summer, monks in long black robes can be seen mowing the grass in the meadows, and the smell of fresh hay fills the air. A real pastoral idyll!

The painting was created on a stretched canvas with the painting continued arround the edges of the piece.

The painting is ready to hang, no frame need.
