Original artwork description
Distant Sails was created on 16"x16" cradled wood. From my home overlooking St. George's Bay in Nova Scotia, there are often many sailboats when the summer arrives. I love to add their distant sails to my paintings, bringing a sense of serenity to my work. Most of this painting was created with a silicon wedge and not a brush, to create interesting marks and textures with acrylic paint.
