Distacco e Germinazione n.3 (2025) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Milena Nicosia
49 x 58 x 9cm
£2,161.63
Original artwork description
Milena doesn't sculpt the material: she listens to it.
The breath of time nestles in the broken circle,
where rust sings with ice,
and metal vertebrae support unspoken memories.
It is a landscape that doesn't exist, yet one we've all crossed.
A fault line that separates and unites, a boundary that breathes.
Every crack is a word, every relief a submerged voice.
The work doesn't ask to be understood, but felt.
Like an echo returning from the future, like a root that becomes a circuit.
This three-dimensional work, suspended between sculpture and painting, explores the porous boundary between nature and artifice. The circular form, interrupted and layered, recalls geological cycles and ancestral memories, while the central vertical elements—oxidized metal blades—introduce a technological, almost digital lexicon. And finally the sprouts symbolizing hope and resilience.
Materials used:
metal, pigment, acrilic, wood

- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 49 x 58 x 9cm
