Distacco e Germinazione n.2 (2026) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Milena Nicosia
56 x 55 x 7cm
£2,161.63
Original artwork description
Milena has gathered the metal as one gathers a forgotten word.
In the broken circle, detachment nestles, not as an end, but as a returning echo.
Three eyes gaze into the void, like gears suspended in time, as if memory had a mechanical form.
Rust is not ruin, but skin that has lived.
Every hole is a question, every stain an answer that cannot be said.
Detachment is not noise, but a pulsating silence.
Three gears gaze at each other, but do not touch.
They were part of a whole, now they are islands.
Rust has written what time has silenced, and the incomplete circle holds the breath of its lost function.
Milena does not seek to recompose, but to listen.
In the void between the parts, meaning is born. In the flowers sprouting from the rubble, hope is born.
The perfect geometry of the three circles contrasts with the irregular, corroded surface. It is an unstable balance, like that between order and emotion. Tension between symmetry and chaos.
