Original artwork description
The idea behind this piece is travel, discovery, and navigation. The overall composition is inspired by a nautical flag. The middle stripes were created from strips of raw canvas that I photo-transferred images of vintage London bus tickets. The blue stripes were created from antique blueprints and the other stripes are acrylic paint. The color palette of soft blues, grays and greens gives the piece a calm, harmonious feeling.
