Disco Fever (2020) Original Acrylic Painting by Leah Nadeau

This is an acrylic and oil pastel painting on 16 x 16 inch canvas. Comes signed on the front, titled on the back and ready to hang on your wall with a certificate of authenticity for your records.

Meaning: The painting was completed for the first time in 2020. Then I gave it another life in 2024. In 2026, I grabbed a bunch of old paintings to paint over, including this one, but I decided this one didn’t need a coat of white, it needed to be updated to be current with my level of skills and style. I started working on it in January 2026. My goal was to bring it with me to Palm Springs for the Modernism Show, but I couldn’t figure out how to “solve” the puzzle until recently. This painting has had 3 different faces, all different eras of my style. The end result reminds me of my first Ever Mid Century Modern Collection, the Retro Summer series from 2018. The paintings all had names relating to disco or fiesta, hence, this painting's name is a throwback.
