In this work, the artist starts out with the concept of the memory and the moment. The memories we record in our memory consist of sections and details. While our memory deletes unnecessary information, time and space erases what has happened. The disappearance of postcards, old photographs, and handwriting, thanks to technological convenience, is the effect of time on us.
In this painting, the disappearance, tearing and deletion of images, cards and writings on past moments are presented to us in the form of layers. While the figure's expression reflects the longing for the past, the glass screen on his face is a cross-section of the phone and tablet screen that we cannot put down in our daily lives. In addition to the temporal and spatial changes, the artist also emphasizes the values in textile, paper and fabric textures.
