Titled 'Desire And Despair', this painting explores the eternal connection between what we desire and what leads to despair. How our unfulfilled desires become the cause for despair, leading to emotional trauma, self destructive behavior and depression. It is as if the two are eternally linked, two sides of the same coin. They can exist separately but are somehow always connected. This painting also personifies the strength in our desires which can grow even in the most desperate and desolate surroundings. It shows how desire is born again and again; hope surges and life continues in the cycle. The circle again, my muse!
