When creating this painting, I wanted to capture the harmony between man and nature. The rider and horse descend a red-earth slope under the glow of sunset, symbolizing courage and freedom. The dramatic clouds in the sky echo the fiery tones of the ground, intensifying the scene’s atmosphere. My intention was to evoke the grandeur of the western spirit while conveying a sense of tranquility and strength through the interplay of light and shadow.
I used strong color contrasts, balancing the cool blues of the sky with the fiery reds of the earth to create tension. The silhouette of the rider and horse is emphasized through dramatic light and shadow. My brushwork combines bold strokes with delicate details, preserving the painting’s overall vigor while drawing attention to the vibrancy of specific elements.
