Derwentwater: A Lake District Landscape (2025) Original Oil Painting by Chris Marshall
40.6 x 30.5 x 0.3cm (unframed)
£250
Original artwork description
King's How is a Lake District summit of modest stature, but the view it affords is spectacular, encompassing the whole of Derwentwater and the Skiddaw massif beyond. It is also a lovely climb from Borrowdale. I visited this spot on a beautiful spring day, and knew immediately that it would be the subject of a painting. I was particularly taken by the way the far mountains and the sky were reflecting in the lake, and it took some time to find the way to represent this to my satisfaction in the painting.
Materials used:

- Oil painting on Canvas
- One of a kind artwork
- Size: 40.6 x 30.5 x 0.3cm (unframed)
