In this painting from the series “Aufbruch” (Departure), I worked with many layers of texture and color to capture the flowing energy of a sunrise. The impressionistic play of colors shows the moment when light and nature merge, full of hope and new beginnings. This creates great depth and special lighting effects. The bright yellow, orange, and red tones on the horizon make you curious about what lies beyond. It makes you want to set off on a journey into the light, which is what the title expresses.
It has a glazed, shadow-jointed wooden frame, which, thanks to its medium grey tone and height, remains in the background and does not restrict the sense of space in the landscape. Of course, you can also purchase the painting with a different frame or without a frame. In addition, the sides of the painting are painted, so it can be hung even without a frame.
