Original artwork description
Because of the similarity between Delphi (dolphin) and Delphy (womb), in Greek mythology the dolphin was a symbol of the feminine principle. It is also a light, a guide of souls, a mediator between humans and the beings that dwell in dreamtime, and a helper to face life's obstacles with happiness.
The work was created on galvanized iron through acid corrosion and then engraved and painted using visual perception to discover a story on the surface.
A fragment originally belonging to a huge industrial portal is observed, studied, and interpreted by Milena, every scar and trace of its life over time, and subsequently reworked, transformed, and composed to create her vision. This process makes the technique unpredictable, and each work is an independent adventure that will remain a mystery until the end. The only common thread is the material and its alchemical transformation under the influence of time and the artist.
