Original artwork description:

The plot of the painting is based on impressions from a visit to the marina of the city of Kremik, Croatia. In the dry dock of the marina there are incredible examples of the Adriatic fishing fleet, which are undergoing seasonal repairs. And with the onset of warm spring days, they are ready to go to sea again to serve man. Everything conquers: the contours of the hulls, the architecture of the superstructures - everything carries warm memories of the past of the ships, the artistic ship design. A special place in the picture is played by a flock of seagulls circling in the port - the eternal companions of fishing vessels in the hope of enjoying a quick catch. Delight - this is the emotion that arises at the first glance at the canvas of enormous size. Significant detailing draws the viewer into examining the fragments of the picture, where everything is subordinated to the active play of sun and shadow. Karina evokes emotions of joy and affection.
