Deep Ocean is an original large-format textured abstract painting, measuring 36 × 72 x 1.5 inches unframed.

Inspired by the beaches of South Florida, the work explores the beauty of the ocean through flowing brushstrokes, layered texture, and the natural forms of fossilized sea shells.

The composition brings together deep navy blue, blue, and off-white, creating a sense of movement, depth, and quiet coastal atmosphere. Rather than depicting a specific seascape, the painting translates the relationship between water, stone, shells, and light into an abstract interpretation.

Created using my signature technique, developed over many years, the work incorporates acrylic, marble powder, natural earth pigments, and select mineral elements to build its richly textured, sculptural surface. The raised reliefs and organic forms invite a closer look, revealing layers, contours, and subtle changes in light and shadow.

From across the room, Deep Ocean creates a strong visual presence. Up close, the dimensional surface and fossil-like shell forms reveal the tactile character of the work. The combination of deep blue and soft white makes it a natural focal point for interiors that appreciate coastal atmosphere without relying on traditional beach imagery.
