This painting is from a series of work that I exhibited in 2019 which I called Folded Light. This is one of the medium sized paintings from the series. To me the title, ‘Folded Light’, suggests pockets and spaces, fields and edges where light streams and shadows gather. While I was layering and overlaying the liquid colour, light and darkness seemed to speed and slow as each of the paintings came to fruition. This is a quiet painting - a peaceful painting to live with.
