While creating this painting, I wanted to capture a moment suspended between dream and reality. The girl lies asleep amid sunlight and grass, still holding a half-read book — a symbol of consciousness drifting into imagination. I aimed for viewers to feel the quiet serenity, the gentle light, and the whisper of the breeze. Through loose brushstrokes and splashes of color, I sought to blur the boundary between what is real and what is dreamlike, preserving both warmth and mystery.
I used a combination of impasto and splatter oil techniques to let the light dance through texture. The contrast between cool blues and warm greens enhances the shifting warmth of sunlight on skin. Fluid brushwork preserves a sense of suspended time — as if this scene were a single frame from a dream.
