Darren's Garden (1991)Oil painting by Darren Jekel

228.6 x 185.42 x 5.08cm

£4,882

I am now offering this special canvas for sale. It is about the noble voyage of life and fate. It is about our fragile and futile attempts to control nature. It is about the fact that there is no paradise. The painting is very contemporary in surface and texture and incorporates an emulsion process that I invented. This oil painting hung in the Dolby Chadwick gallery in 1999. I had the great honor of being selected by Lisa for her first solo show in San Francisco, 'New works by Darren Jekel'.
This painting is too large to be shipped stretched in a box (it could be delivered that way if it was purchased in california, inquire) but could be delivered in a tube to restretch upon arrival. This is an amazing and really awesome work of art and is a truely wonderful original painting. Look closely! I can send more pictures and descriptions if desired.

Materials used:

Oil, emulsion, sand, tar on stretched canvas
