I wanted to capture a state between reality and dream: a figure in the water, with the dress and ripples intertwined—still yet fluid. The upper body emerging above the surface symbolizes breath and life; the lower body sinking below represents calmness and introspection. Using cool blue tones and sharp contrasts of light, I aimed to create a sense of transparency and weightlessness, as if the viewer could hear the whisper of water.

I worked with layered acrylic applications, starting with a dark base and repeatedly adding bright blues and whites to create the effect of light refraction and the delicate flow of the dress. I deliberately blurred the water’s reflection to give it an abstract quality, leaving room for the viewer’s imagination.
